“You feel heavy because you are full of truth. Open your mouth more. Let the truth exist somewhere other than inside your body.” – Della Hicks-Wilson
Like everything in life, there is no one-size-fits-all approach in therapy. I’m informed by and have trained in multiple types of therapy. I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Trauma Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. This allows me to work in a flexible way that is tailored to best meet your needs. In general, I am trauma-informed and work from a client-centred, anti-oppressive and strengths-based perspective. I am also guided by harm-reduction principles.
